“If it walks, swims or flies I’ll be working out how to immortalise it in clay. I imprint texture into all my works; using lace, fabric and found objects.”

Marianne Hemmet McCaughey

Danish geologist and self-taught silversmith Marianne creates handmade jewellery with a story to tell. She is inspired by nature’s fascinating forms, textures, and colours as well as ancient jewellery designs and symbols. The handmade jewellery features coloured gemstones, ancient cultural beads, and precious metals. Using these beautiful materials, artistic design, and craftmanship, she aims to create a connection to the natural world and history through meaningful, stunning jewellery and fascinating storytelling about the materials.

Claytropolis

(Sarah-Jane Wellington)

"Claytropolis is my collection of iconic  buildings from around the world- starting with London!  Obsessed with architecture and even more mad about clay, I come from a background in the creative arts, working as a teacher, performer, writer and ceramicist. I love spending my evenings carving out these beautiful  landmarks and experimenting with underglazes and oxides with crackle or lustre finishes and even a bit of decoupage thrown into the mix. They're a joyful celebration of our cityscapes."
